Resolution

of the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and Conducting Republican Referenda

On Explanation of Application of Provisions of the Parts 1, 6 and 7 of the Article 45 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, Providing the Conduction of the Electoral Campaign.

In connection with the coming appeals on application of the parts 1, 6 and 7 of the article 45 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and Conducting Republican Referenda on the basis of the clause 1 of the Article 33 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus decrees:

To explain, that:

1. Regional, city, regional in cities commissions on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus on co-ordination with respective regional, city executive committees, regional administrations in cities determine lodgments for conducting meetings of the candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus with voters. Decisions on it shall be published in local press.

2. The candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus shall appeal to the respective regional, city, regional in city commissions on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus with requests on putting in disposal of lodgments for conducting meetings with voters.

The candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus shall be given the lodgments for conducting meetings with voters on equal conditions in the order of priority of the appeals receiving.

On the date, time and place of conducting meetings of the candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus with voters the respective territorial commissions on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus shall inform in the local press or by the local radio.

3. Gatherings, meetings, other mass measures organized during the pre-election agitation outside indoor, and also street marches, demonstrations and picketing shall be carried out in accordance of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Gatherings, Meetings, Street Marches, Demonstrations and Picketing” and the Ordinance of the President of the Republic of Belarus of May 7, 2001 “On Some Measures on Improving the Order of Conducting Gatherings, Meetings, Street Marches, Demonstrations, Other Mass Measures and Picketing in the Republic of Belarus”.
