Resolution of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus
N 191-P2/II of June7, 2001

In accordance with part three of the article 81 and clause 3 of part one of the article 97 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, clause 1 of the article 23 and part one of the article 56 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus enacts:

1. Assign the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the 9^th of September, 2001.

2. The Central Committee of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and National Referenda shall secure realization of the whole measure complex on organization of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus in accordance with the legislation in force.

3. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus shall:

provide financing of the expenses for preparation and realization of elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus;

establish the order of presentation by the state bodies, organizations of the necessary for preparation and realization of the elections lodgments, equipment, communication facilities and transport.

4. The State Committee of the Republic of Belarus on Press shall by the order of the Central Committee of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and National Referenda provide making documents on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, centralized published.

5. The Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Belarus shall in the established order take measures to provide the Central Committee of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and National Referenda, territorial and district committees on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus with the necessary communication facilities.

6. The state mass media, the mass media partially financed from the state budget, as well as the mass media one of founders of which are state bodies or organizations shall provide equal opportunities for pre-election statements of the candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus, realization of the election campaign.

7. The general committees of oblast, Minsk city, regional, city Councils of deputies, oblast, Minsk city, regional, city, settlement, village executive committees shall, within their competence and at the stated by the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus time, provide realization of all organizational arrangements on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, shall assist committees on elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus in their powers implementation, provide timely rendering of lodgments, equipment, communication facilities, transport, as well as information and materials.

8. The Ministry of Internal Affairs shall on preparation and realization of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus secure maintenance of public order.

9. The Office of Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Belarus shall exercise control over observance of legislation of the Republic of Belarus on elections.

10. Deputies of the House of Representatives within their powers shall exercise control over execution of the present Resolution.

11. The present Resolution comes into effect from the date of its official publication.
